If you are standing next to the jar you can see the Alvord Desert and Mann Lake.
Even though the jar has been found, don't forget that if you take a picture with the paddle left behind, you will be entered to win a $200 Shop Harney gift card. The gift card winner will be drawn the last week of September. This is the 2nd treasure jar hidden on the Steens Mountain. You can find both paddles for multiple chances to win. Treasure Jar #14, clue 3
Just after milepost 37 (from Burns) you will go down road 73. There will be a gravel pit near the intersection of your turn. FYI Grant County 73 road turns into Harney County 17 road at the county line.
Treasure jar #14, clue 2
The Valley near this location, is currently named after Antoine Sylvaille. The reservoir is a peaceful location created in collaboration between the BLM and ODFW. The wildlife are plentiful at this location. As I hid the jar I could hear a coyote howling in the distance, ducks quacking in the water and saw a few deer watching me from the entrance. I also saw a huge herd of Elk as I was coming home, in the fields nearby. If this valley could tell stories, I am sure that we would be captivated for quite some time. There are plaques near the bathrooms that tell a tidbit of its history.
Treasure jar #14, clue 1
This week’s jar is for all of the rebels! Why do I say that? Well, technically this jar is barely on the Grant County side of the county line. (All jars were supposed to be hidden in Harney County) This week's jar is just off of Hwy 395. The road to this location comes back to Harney County, but not before this body of water. (I didn’t realize this until I went to hide it.) Happy hunting!
Found Treasure jar #13

Take a picture with it and send it to director@harneycounty.com for a chance to win a $200 Shop Harney gift card. Just in case you didn't know...the more paddles that you find, the more entries that you get in the drawing. You can find all of the past 15 paddles for more chances to win. Harney County Treasure Jar #13, clue 4
There are several fallen down trees around the campsite. This week’s treasure jar is stashed under one.
Treasure jar #13, Clue. 3
What is in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet- William Shakespeare. There may have been some wild roses up there, however they must have seen this guy eating grass near the springs when they named the location.

Harney County Treasure Jar #13, Clue 1
There are two ways to get to this week's treasure jar. If you drive the suggested way by Google,( from Burns) you will have to pass this week's Treasure Jar sponsor. This weeks treasure jar sponsor is the Riley Store. They have made a lot of changes to the store. Stop by, grab some snacks, and say hi. Last I knew they had the cheapest gas in Harney County!
