NewSun’s 4th annual Climate & Ag Scholarship
Do you know any graduating seniors or high school teachers, counselors, or administrators who could help us identify applicants for NewSun’s 4th annual Climate & Ag Scholarship program? If so, we would appreciate your assistance in sharing the scholarship details below.
Graduating high school seniors from Crook, Harney, Klamath, Lake, Gilliam, Wasco, Morrow, Lane, Linn, Coos, Curry, Sherman, Coastal Douglas, and Umatilla counties are invited to submit an essay exploring how climate change is affecting their community and way of life, including impacts on ranching and farming.
A scholarship review committee composed of local and state elected officials, renewable energy, nonprofit, and community leaders, and members of the NewSun team will review and score the essays. Students with the highest-scoring essays will receive $2,500 scholarships. Honorable mention awards may be distributed at the discretion of the review committee. The deadline to apply is April 10, 2026.
